Name: Andy Wilkinson

Age: 33

Place of Birth: Stone

Former School: Alleyne’s High School

Profession: Retired Stoke City footballer, now owner of property development business, No.28 Properties

In 2016, Andy was introduced to PM Training’s director of operations, Dan Canavan, and was invited to take a tour of the Canavan Centre to find out exactly what the training provider was about.

Andy says: “I was really impressed by what I saw at PM, and because of that, I wanted to become more involved. When I was asked to be an ambassador for the company, I was delighted to accept.

“To me, PM Training offers young people the chance to learn skills and get into work straight after, which other educational services can’t.

“Apprenticeships are more of a viable option today and we need to spread that awareness – when I was a kid, the only apprenticeship I knew of was the one I did at Stoke City, so it’s great to see so many other options become available for all kinds of jobs.”
