PM Training pride ourselves on Quality teaching, accreditations and excellent OFSTED results

Eight in ten learners who come to PM Training progress into an apprenticeship or work, way above the county average of around five in ten – this is a figure we are extremely proud of and work hard to maintain through links with local businesses and learner development.

In our most recent OFSTED inspected, over 90% of the areas inspected were graded as outstanding or good.

Alongside OFSTED grading, staff at PM Training seek to adopt an open and accepting attitude towards all young people as part of our general responsibility for pastoral care. We hope that parents, guardians and young people will feel free to talk about any concerns or worries which may affect educational progress. Young people will be taken seriously if they seek help from a member of staff.

All staff undergo “Safeguarding Children” training and refresher training at a minimum of every 3 years. Designated persons attend relevant training every 2 years. Parents and guardians can feel confident that careful procedures are in place to ensure that all staff appointed are suitable to work with young people through the necessary reference and recruitment procedures, e.g. Discloure and Barring Service (previously CRB checks).

PM Training is recognised as an ‘Investor in Diversity’ and learners can expect equal treatment on their programme of learning, regardless of any difference.

Our training programmes meet the recent changes within education and qualify with meeting Raising the Participation Age (RPA).

This means that pupils leaving school in Year 11 need to continue in education or training until at least the end of the academic year in which they turn 17 years of age. PM Training offers young people a choice other than full time study at college/sixth form through our study programmes and routes to an apprenticeship.

Learners may be eligible to for additional finances that can support them whilst they study and carry out an apprenticeship.  

The Realise Foundation, the group regeneration charity provides bursary awards to support lifelong learning including free toolkits, business clothing and driving lessons.

Learners also receive;

  • Free breakfasts – available from our training centres
  • Free bus travel – weekly travel cards are provided to learners whilst on our study programmes
  • Recommend a friend scheme – learners have the opportunity to earn additional income, £50 per friend introduced to PM Training.
