Being a Window and Door Fitter (part of Fenestration) is a fantastic opportunity to get some hands-on experience in a trade. If you like getting stuck into a project and learning something new then this could be the role for you!

Job Role: 

This job role is to maintain operations by receiving and distributing communications, maintaining supplies and equipment, deal with customer and visitors satisfactorily either by telephone or personally.

What is Fenestration?

Fenestration means window fitting. As a window fitter, you are getting into a trade which is very valued in the industry. You will be trained in the installation and repair of windows, conservatories, cladding, porches and more. You will pick up important information around the health and safety within the fenestration industry and learn about drawing plans and working closely within a team.
The knowledge you pick up from this industry can take you to different careers and also take your skills through to your own potential business. Fenestration can be a very well paid profession.

About Your Employer:

Target Windows are a well-established business celebrating 35 years in 2018. Target Windows install windows, doors and conservatories in peoples homes as well as commercial clients. They are based in Meri Heath with showrooms in Stone and Uttoxeter.

Skills Required: 

  • Reliable and good time management with 7.30am starts required
  • Be presentable
  • Ability to carry out instructions from the line manager and main installer

Qualifications Required:

5 GCSE’s 9-4 (A-C) or grades as equivalent
