Popular Trentham Gardens retail store, Doggie Fashions Ltd are looking for a Sales & Retail Assistant. The store is busy and sells everything for dogs focusing on helping customers and giving excellent customer service. As part of the role you’ll be helping and advising customers, who will (most of the time) have their dogs with them. You will need to be confident to work with and handle all sizes of dogs, as this exciting role will require you to fit coats, collars, harnesses and other dog related products onto dogs.
- 5 days Mon – Fri
- 10am – 5.00pm Jan to March
- 10am – 5.30pm April – End of Dec
Duties will involve:
- Working on an electronic til system.
- Selling & advising on products to customers (all training will be given).
- Checking deliveries & stock.
- Displaying stock.
- General cleaning duties, to help maintain a smart store.
- Sending/receiving e-mails & attachments
- Using Social Media eg. Facebook/Twitter/Instagram
- Reliable, honest, motivated, polite, well presented & eager to learn.
- ‘Friendly’, with excellent communication skills & telephone manner.
- You’ll be part of friendly team so we need a ‘team player’ & you’ll be working in a BUSY STORE.
- We are a small business, open 7 days, so reliability & good time keeping is very important.
- Are you Flexible? Occasionally, you may be asked to work on a Sunday, Bank Holiday & during peak periods eg. school holidays.
- GCSE Maths and English A*- C or Functional Skills or equivalent (Preferred)
