Housing is a great way of picking the skills up you need to be able to move forward in your career within a houisng environment and with customer relations. This role will develop you to be an approachable member of staff who will be experienced on the phone, with work management and always has the customers interests at heart.

Job Role:

You will be required to deal with admin responsibilities mainly to support the neighbourhood team with two existing support officers.

Job roles will be:

  • Making up packs to sign up new customers/filing,
  • Dealing with customers on the telephone and face to face at Castle House in our offices where customers drop in with general enquired and arranged appointments.
  • Sending emails and completing spreadsheets.

Applying English & Maths To This Role: 

You will be using English skills to help deliver and develop the customer’s experience. You will also be using English to understand the internal process of customer contact with Aspire Housing.

Qualifications Required:

GCSE Maths and English 9-4 (A*- C) or Functional Skills as equivalent

Qualifications Gained: 

Customer Service Standard progressing onto a Housing Standard

Future Prospects: 

This job role will give you good experience within two sectors, Housing and Customer Service. Both of which can be applied to a variety of job roles in the future and help you pick up confidence skills, improved telephone manner, being able to speak to customers on a regular basis and also being able to identify issues and resolve them. These skills look great on a CV and can help you stand out for an employer.

Salary information

Please note the salary for this role is the Apprentice National Minimum Wage which is £3.70 per hour / £148 per week for all ages of applicants.
