Customer Excellence is a great way of picking the skills up you need to be able to move forward in your career within an office environment and with customer relations. This role will develop you to be an approachable member of staff who will be experienced on the phone, with work management and always has the customers interests at heart.

Job Role: 

This job role requires a high level of customer service excellence, over several communication channels including face to face, telephone, web chat and Facebook.

You will be very much front of house, Aspire pride themselves on having the best, friendly approach with their customer and you need to be able to offer any kind of assistance to their customers and help them get in contact with who they are seeking.

You will need to offer a range of services and be able to provide ideas and insights on how they can improve the customer’s experience.

What is a Customer Service Assistant?

Customer Service Assistants have an important job representing a company first hand, they have to be well presented and approachable. Being a Customer Service Assistant, you could be in a shop serving customers or even behind closed doors answering important phone calls. People will often come to you for help so you need to make sure you are confident, polite and have an interest in what you are talking about. You will usually be part of a team and expected to report to a manager.  Being a Customer Service Assistant is a very important job and there is lots of room for progression!

Applying English & Maths To This Role: 

You will be using English skills to help deliver and develop the customer’s experience. You will also be using English to understand the internal process of customer contact with Aspire Housing.

Qualifications Required:

GCSE Maths and English 9-4 (A*- C) or Functional Skills as equivalent

Qualifications Gained: 

Apprenticeship in Customer Service Level 2

Future Prospects: 

This job role will give you good experience within two sectors, Business Administration and Customer Service. Both of which can be applied to a variety of job roles in the future and help you pick up confidence skills, improved telephone manner, being able to speak to customers on a regular basis and also being able to identify issues and resolve them. These skills look great on a CV and can help you stand out for an employer.

Salary information

Please note the salary for this role is the Apprentice National Minimum Wage which is £3.70 per hour / £148 per week for all ages of applicants.
