Your job role will consist of various tasks such as handling customers enquiries via telephone, website and email. Also picking orders from our warehouse and scheduling customer deliveries and collections. Marketing duties will include increasing the business profile on Social Media using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. You will also be required to deal with direct marketing activities which include posting and mailshots etc. You may occasionally be required to work away from home if required for short duration’s (1-3 days).
About Your Employer:
Bar O2 Limited was formed in 2001, trading as The Oxygen store they are a small family owned and run business. Their registered office is based in Stoke on Trent and main warehouse and offices are based in Stone. They supply medical oxygen-related products to the Healthcare sector, to Hospitals and Nursing Homes and directly to the end user. They also supply international oxygen bar services to the events industry.
What is a Customer Service Assistant?
Customer Service Assistants have an important job representing a company first hand, they have to be well presented and approachable. Being a Customer Service Assistant, you could be in a shop serving customers or even behind closed doors answering important phone calls. People will often come to you for help so you need to make sure you are confident, polite and have an interest in what you are talking about. You will usually be part of a team and expected to report to a manager. Being a Customer Service Assistant is a very important job and there is lots of room for progression!
What is a Marketing Assistant?
Being a Marketing Assistant, you are in a fast-paced environment where you are expected to be creative and input your ideas. You could be expected to manage Social Media, websites, emails etc. This job role can also be quite fun, working on various projects and being involved with clients and businesses. If you want an exciting role where every day is different then this could be the job for you.

Applying English & Maths To This Role:
You will be using English skills as you will be required to use written and verbal skills. Marketing requires a lot of proofreading and correct grammar if you are posting on social media. Also, in Customer Service, you will need to be confident and presentable in speaking to customers.
Qualifications Required :
GCSE’s grade 9-4 (A-C) or equivalent qualifications preferred
Apprenticeship in Customer Service Level 2
Working hours and benefits:
- 9.30 to 17.00 Mon – Friday normally, times may be varied slightly to suit
- Wage initially £4.25 per hour
- Annual Holiday Entitlement 28 days including Bank and Public Holidays
