A Lench Building Contractors are looking for a talented individual to assist with the administration of their financial information.

If you are wanting to get into the financial industry this role is ideal for you!

Job Role

  • Collect and collate information for the client such as copies of accounts, information on the property/ properties etc.
  • Summarizing the information collected to put together a information request sheet for the accounts and client.
  • Reviewing further information from client such as fixed asset schedules, summarizing tax computations and reviewing repairs and renewal schedules.
  • General administration duties such as telephone answering and filing.

GCSE Maths and English A*- C or Functional Skills or equivalent are preferred

The company was founded by Adrian and his wife Jackie Lench in 1987, trading originally as a general builder and roofing contractor, employing gangs of bricklayers to undertake housing projects and building a workforce of circa 6 directs and 30 plus subcontractors. In 2009, Nigel Thomas joined the company having worked previously as a Commercial Manager at David McLean Homes Ltd, who unfortunately during the recession of 2008 fell short of the financial crisis and was forced into liquidation. Trading through some very testing years, we have built a strong and experienced workforce which boasts a direct workforce of over 40 employees and vetted, competent sub contractors. Training and development of Apprentices is one of our key aims in building a company with home grown talent with opportunities to progress in a forward thinking company. From the company starting in 1987 to present we have trained in excess of 60 apprentices in which many of them have evolved into roles within the company. Our current operations director Steve Tilstone was our first ever apprentice in 1987 and others have developed into contracts managers, site supervisors and other roles over the years. The process then starts again as Tom Lench has now taken over the role from Adrian as apprentice manager and his main focus is training and mentoring new apprentices to thrive in the industry. This process is what we believe to create the structure that enables us to maintain a successful business model.
