You will be doing various admin duties in our office including scanning and filling documents, keeping all company records up to date, use of our in house system on a daily basis, surrounded by a friendly team of people this is the perfect place for you if you want to make health and safety a priority or make it simpler than ever before, being the first point of contact to customers could be daunting but will become easier as you progress on your apprenticeship it will soon feel natural to pick up the phone and promote BOHSA without hesitation.

What is a Business Administrator?
Being part of Business Administration you are known for your effective organisation, telephone manner and often being trusted by a manager to take care of other administrative duties. Quite often, Business Administration members of staff will be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and be quite creative.
Business Administration can take you into a variety of jobs as you will cover a lot of various skills. You are an important member of the team and will learn how to manage your job to the best of your ability, make a good impression and this job role and you can carry these skills onto a managerial role.
You will need to have a very broad set of skills in this role, answering telephone calls you obviously need to be a very confident outgoing person and this must reflect when you’re in these situations, and you must be very calm headed when dealing with constant calls don’t let yourself get all worked up over it. You must be good at problem solving, as you may get asked questions you’re not sure about and you will have to rely on your own knowledge and common sense to figure out the situation and finally being able to work as part of a team as we’re very close knitted in the office this will be a regular occurrence.
You must have a willingness and desire to use your own initiative and take responsibility of a task that they set you, if something seems logical it probably is so go for it! If it goes wrong it’s a learning curve and you will know not to do it again, commitment to yourself is something you should concentrate on, not only do they want you to be working for them but we need you to gain something from your experience this could be multiple things: confidence, timekeeping and most importantly your Level 2 Business Administration! If you arrive with a can-do approach to work it will reflect on the whole day this is what they are looking for.
Applying English & Maths To This Role:
You will be using English skills as you will be required to use written and verbal skills. Business Administration can often require a lot of proofreading, good organisation and time management.
English and Maths 9-4 (A-C) or Functional Skills as equivalent are preferred
Apprenticeship in Business Administration Level 2
Use your skills of Health and Safety to progress your career in Business Administration or even a career in HR.
