Reporting to the Production Supervisor, 2 positions are available. These positions are offered at £4 per hour initially, rising to £4.50 after a successful 6 month probation period. The salary will be reviewed again after 12 months service.

Following full training, the post holder will assemble and calibrate high specification cable avoidance tools and accessories;

– Select components from stock, as explained in the Assembly Manuals
– Assembly work from component level through to finished goods
– Calibrate and test products
– Customise and pack products ready for despatch

The following standards of performance required;

– Demonstrate care and attention to assemble the company products from component level to final build stage, as per training and manuals
– Produce work of a high quality standard which can reach ISO 9001:2015
– Maintain quality levels and make recommendations on improvements
– Ensure spillage is kept to the minimum and recorded if occurs
– Continue to increase knowledge of all company products through job rotation
– Able to steadily increase productivity levels to meet company targets for the individual and the team
– Maintain a clean and safe working environment
– Ensure inter-departmental communication is fully met

Skills required for this apprenticeship;

– PC literate for data entry on an in-house system
– Can demonstrate a logical approach to work
– Good communication skills to liaise with other departments
– Able to listen, understand and carry out instructions
– Ability to work on own initiative and as a team player

– Excellent attendance & punctuality
– Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
– Must have a flexible approach to work, with the ability to multi task

Qualifications required for this apprenticeship;

GCSE English & Maths grade c or above or equivalent qualification are preferred
